YouTube Schedule???

I've been wanting to get more serious about my art channel on YouTube, and with the semester starting soon, and an online class I haven't done anything for yet, it's going to be tough. But I want to STRIVE for 1 video per week, most likely on Mondays, but I'll settle for every other week if need be. I already have 2 filmed and one edited, and the one that's edited is the best editing masterpiece I've ever created I hope everyone watches it OMG. I wish I had more than ~20 people who watch my videos, haha!

But, I'm hoping with these changes I'll be making to my channel I'll be able to gain more subscribers. I even have a pretty cool new setup for the backgrounds of my videos! It has better lighting and the background is my art/work space so the viewers can see what I'm working on!

I REALLY want to try and make this schedule work, but I'm starting to think that every other week might be better for me, especially when the semester picks up.

If any of you are YouTubers, or have any suggestions for videos and/or schedules, please let me know! <3

Happy New Year!

Organizing My Art Supplies!

Hi all! New video today, showing my process of going through some extra art supplies I don't use on a daily basis anymore, and even throwing some out! :o I tried to make it upbeat and silly, since I know sometimes it's hard to let go of art stuff, or put it away for a while. But I was just getting sick of my lack of space (I have a tiny room anyway and I'm trying to make it my bedroom and art studio) and I knew a video, and my new storage bin I got for Christmas, would help my motivation!
Hope you enjoy! (click the link BELOW the picture to see my video/channel!)

Christmas Time Crunch!

Hello all!

The Christmas season is a time where I overload myself with artworks and crafts that I would like to give to people as gifts. This year is no different!

  • Avery's unicorn painting is nearing completion! I just have some minor details to finish and the unicorn/Pegasus thing to finish and it'll be done! I think I'm going to shoot for her birthday at the end of January, though. My parents spoiled the grandkids with gifts this year and I'd rather give it to her on a more personal level than have it be forgotten in the mass of gifts they'll get this Christmas from everyone. I'm not going to post a progress picture, though. It wouldn't look much different. But the latest progress picture I've put on here will look MIGHTY different from what it will look like in the end! Waiting for her birthday will also give me more time to perfect it. I'd say it'll be the best present she gets for her 7th birthday ;)

  • I've recently made coasters for some people, as well! I REALLY like how they've turned out, I just have to do the acrylic finish on top of the other two sets and I'll be done with those!

  • Today I was contacted to paint three heraldic wooden shields for my friend I met in high school senior year. I thought he totally forgot about me! We were kind of a team, hoping to create a comic book together (him writing the story, me and another girl doing the artwork), but after graduation we stopped contacting each other. I'm not sure if he still even does the comics thing anymore. But he DOES appreciate art, and wanted to know if I could do three of these small wooden shields by Christmas. In 2.5 days. Which means I'll pretty much be working on them nonstop. But CHALLENGE ACCEPTED BECAUSE I'M A BROKE COLLEGE STUDENT. They're about the size of a hand, so they're not too big and he already put a white layer on them. So it shouldn't be too bad. Very simple and not detailed at all. Meeting him today to discuss payment and the designs themselves.

  • I also have a birthday/Christmas gift swap with Shawna again this year! c: After finally meeting her for the first time this year, in Colorado, I'm super stoked to get started on this drawing! We've decided to give each other a single theme, that's it, and it can only be in lineart! We've both been practicing linework, so this will be good practice for us, and it's a smaller picture so it'll be fun! I've already bought her gifts within the price limit we set, so I can start on that hopefully pretty soon!

So those are my projects for this holiday season ^^' A lot of it won't get done, but I know the coasters and the shields will! I hope you all have a nice holiday season, and get lots of wonderful gifts and memories! <3

Winter Break!!

Hello everyone who still reads this!

FINALLY!! Made it to winter break! And ever since I got home on Wednesday I've been doing almost nothing but artsy stuff! When I got home from Starbucks, my new second home..I'm there like everyday I KID YOU NOT, I opened my package from amazon and my adult coloring book was in there! It took the rest of the afternoon/evening but I got the first page done! I'm trying to be artsy with it, so that's probably why it took so long ^^'

But other than that, I've worked on an abstract watercolor painting I've been wanting to try out based on the Ancient Mayan art style, I've made a set of a coasters I plan to make an ASMR video out of, I went to my first art journaling class at my worked and loved it so much I spent a LOT of money at work today ^^''''' Ooooops...but my mom paid me back for it and said she'd wrap it up for one of my Christmas gifts, haha.

I've also dragged the silly unicorn painting out again. I WANT to work on it and get it done by Christmas..it all depends on my motivation. I know it's for a 7 year old..but she's going to, hopefully, have this painting for the rest of her life. I want it to be so kickass my sister wants to pay me a million bucks for it. Although that's very unlikely..but ya know, I can dream, right?

I've also started scrapbooking again! I even finally finished my Prom album! This job has really helped me branch out to be more of a crafter! I love doing crafty things, and now I finally have the extra money to buy some of the "real" stuff for it, instead of knockoff stuff that doesn't really work! Once I get a couple more pages done in my art journal, I'll do a whole post about my art journaling journey. But for now it's just experimental! Sadly, water and ink have made a mess of my art journal's crease...so there's a lot of damage there. But that's part of art journaling, I guess! It's not supposed to be perfect. Here's my progress, but not the finished product:

^^^^^ I'M SO PROUD OF IT LOOK AT MY BABY ^^^^^

As for YouTube, I'm mainly only working on ASMR videos now. I don't have the time, space, or recording set up to make real art speedpaints. I'm surprised any of my ASMR video angles work, honestly. I DO have ideas for art videos, don't get me wrong. The unicorn will be a big video, hopefully. I just need to get my butt up and get it done. It'll be the first installment of a series my boyfriend came up with! It's a "behind-the-scenes" look at my progress and what my art space looks like c:

I'll be working on my Christmas ASMR video and the painting tomorrow, since it'll be my first TRUE day off. I've been working or out and about all the other days of my break so far. ASMR videos are my favorite thing to make. It's relaxing for me AND my viewers, and I'm helping people at the same time. And they're so fun to make! I feel like with my art videos I'm rushed because I have limited amounts of time on my camera/phone and have to stop, usually, two or three times, maybe more depending on the project, so I can transfer the recordings. It's a weird process haha.

Other than that, I don't think there are any other art updates. I don't have any pictures of anything special, really. I hope you are all alive after finals, and are doing well! Merry Christmas if I don't get a chance to write anything else before then! (Hopefully I will because I'll be doing a lot of artsy stuff, believe me!!) It still hasn't hit me yet that I'm on winter break..so I feel like I have something due on Monday when I DON'T I'M FINALLY FREE!!!
Ahem..have a nice day/night/afternoon/Christmas! \o/

Flowering Antlers Progress

Here are the progress photos for Flowering Antlers!! (: I forgot I had taken those first two photos, honestly!! So I figured I'd make a short and sweet blog post to let you see how different art looks through the stages. I could have made a bunch of extra stages inbetween, and maybe I'll do that for the next piece I work on, but this will suffice for now! These are the three basic stages anyway..

If you like these progress posts, let me know! c:

Flowering Antlers

I did it, guys! Here's my revamped Inktober piece! I DID finish the ink part in the last stretch of October, but I finished the coloring last night. I'm really happy with out it turned out. Just how I saw it in my brain! It's done with watercolors, india ink, and Copic markers. I've been really trying to do more with mixed media, and I will probably add more to this if I get bored sometime (if it doesn't sell before I get to it).

With this idea, I wanted to do something girly, but at the same time, something that could be hung on someone's living room wall even if they're not that girly or outdoorsy. And when I sketched/planned this piece out, I was really into antlers and flowers at the time..so I put them together and BAM!

Funny story about the blue background!
I had colored in the bottom sections of the background (underneath the antlers) and noticed my marker wasn't as strong as it was when I had started. I panicked and got to a good stopping point, ordering a new marker immediately (and some refills). School picked up and I didn't have time to work on it, so it sat there a while. Then, last night I started out with my original marker and decided I would go for as long as it would and then switch to my new marker. Well, THE ORIGINAL MARKER MADE IT THROUGH THE WHOLE BACKGROUND AND MORE!! What a little trooper!! I eventually switched to my new marker, but it was just funny that it pulled through.

Here are the materials I used:
Paper - Strathmore Watercolor Paper (9x12in, 140lbs)
Artist's Tape
Van Gogh Watercolors
Speedball India Ink
Copic Markers: R32, R35, R37, R39, YR01, YR02, YR04, YR07, YR09, Y11, Y13, Y15, Y17, YG11, YG13, YG17, BG11, BG13, BG34, BG45, BG49, W0, W1, W2, W3

THIS ORIGINAL PIECE IS FOR SALE!
Without Mat - $45
With Mat - $60
(Since it's watercolor you'd have to get a mat for it to hanging anyway, just FYI)

Criticism

Hi everyone! Long time no post..

Had a pretty rough day today and figured I'd share my experiences with criticism. I've been in MANY critiques, but my experience today felt more like a hostile bullying party than a critique on our life size self portraits... Everyone was so buddy-buddy with each other, giving compliments about each other's work, including the students who have been struggling with the human figure. All the way up until mine was up for roasting. I immediately felt like there was some sort of bad energy in the room. A guy I used to be best friends with said my 8+ hours of work was 'lazy', another talked to me like I was four and didn't know how to use a damn phone to change the effect on a reference photo. More and more just started ganging up on me and telling me how much a suck, pretty much. For once my professor was the nice one. I cried through the rest of the class and the whole time driving home. This was the first time I ever felt a hostile energy from a critique. My other critiques have been very helpful for my growth. I learned a lot from those. but this one really shook me up.

I just wanted to make a post about criticism because it's something all artists have to learn how to deal with. I'm still trying to make a thick skin for myself so days like this in the future just bounce off and I can let it go easier. And that's one of the hardest things to do. Developing a thick skin is what keeps artists alive and creating. If every little critique brought us to the point where we don't want to continue art anymore, there would be no more art! Ever since college started I've been a TON better with accepting criticism. But there's a fine line between criticism and putting someone's artwork down.

For example, that guy in my class was on the bad side of criticism. Telling someone their artwork is "bad" or "lazy" isn't HELPING them in any way! That's just discouraging them. Constructive criticism is what you want to share and give. Others told me my contrast needed some work, which I could understand. After looking at the same piece for 8+ hours it's hard to see what needs to be done to it, and now I'm able to see what I needed for that portrait because of the CONSTRUCTIVE criticism I was given.

I feel like this needs to be shared more. There's a HUGE different between constructive criticism (GOOD) and putting down the artist's work (BAD). So next time someone wants your opinion, try being nice and pointing out what they can improve on instead of being hurtful and a buttface <3

New Elephant Painting!!

Watercolor Painted Elephant by BlueEyesNeko
SEPTEMBER 2015

Woohoo! And everyone I told I was starting over didn't think I'd be able to do it! >:) WELL I DID!
I finished this picture the day before Amelia's birthday, haha! Although, since then I've added a few orange drips to the background, but other than that you guys aren't missing much! It's 9x12 instead of 11x14 too, so it was easier to finish because it wasn't as big. I really like this version better than the old one. Just shows how a few months can show that much improvement, whether you've been doing a lot of artwork or not!

As far as I know Amelia doesn't read these because she's too busy being a nursing student :P So we should be good on the surprise factor! Just thought I'd show you wonderful readers the update to Amelia's picture, and I guess I can update you on a little IRL stuff! Lots of cool things have been happening!

UPDATES
So, I know I've been bad with not uploading a blog post, but I've been busy! I found out I'll be the very first person to graduate from BHC with an AFA degree, since it's very new and no one has pursued it before! So that's exciting! I've been SWAMPED with my classes, though! I forgot I was taking pretty much 3 history classes! My Art History and Archaeology classes aren't too bad, but my Western Civilization class is kicking my butt! I hardly have time to breathe, it seems like. My Life Drawing class is going alright. I feel like everything is starting to click in my brain when it comes to the human figure now! (:
I'm also the president of the Art Collective at BHC for the 2nd year in a row! We already have big things planned, and we're having an extra meeting about our first big collaboration project tomorrow! I also GOT MY FIRST JOB!! I'll be working in an artsy atmosphere and I'm so psyched about it! I've been asking for this job for almost 5 years and I finally talked to the right people and now I'm hired there! I start training tomorrow too, I'm so nervous!

So yeah, that's about all I have to update you lovely people on! I hope you peeps are doing great, because other than how stressed I am I'm fantastic for once! :D

Elephant Watercolor FAIL!

So, I've been working on this watercolor painted elephant for my best friend since the beginning on APRIL, and I finally finished it last night at around 12:30am!

And guess what...

I hate it :D And I plan to start over. And her birthday is in 10 days. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. I'm trying to decide if I should make it smaller and just redraw the outline of the elephant, or if I should stay the same size and use my light table to save me some time.

I mainly don't like it because it turned out WAY too dull, gaudy, and I don't like the color choices I made. Pretty much the only thing I like about it is the small portion of background at the bottom where I let the color run and do its own thing. Other than that, not really impressed by it. Which is a bummer considering I've put 20+ hours into it because I'm still very new to watercolor and I'm still nervous with it. Starting over would also mean that I'm going to have to get my dip pen and India ink out and ink all of my designs again. But since I plan to not have as many designs on it in the second attempt it should be fine. I don't mind inking it, it's actually sort of relaxing to me.

So here's what the fail version looks like:
Fail by BlueEyesNeko

Not the best picture, I know. But it's just WAY too gaudy and I don't like it. It's not good enough for my best friend. Maybe in the future I'll try to sell it, but for now it's going to be put away for a while. If anyone would like to purchase it, please email me at: gustafsonhaley@gmail.com we can make a deal there.

Welp..Things Not Going According to Plan!

Welp is right! Today has just been kinda off. This morning was awesome, I spent the night at Austin's last night and I woke up to him cuddling me and it was amazing. I even got pancakes and bacon out of the deal! And he said he would take me to Olive Garden for a dinner date! Like, how can that NOT be the best day ever??

But ever since I got home, not much has been going according to how I wanted them to play out. And all of these are totally "First World Problems" but to a gamer, YouTuber, and artist it's frustrating, okay? xD

First, my 3DS XL was giving me connection issues. I'm missing out of half the gameplay for Animal Crossing: New Leaf because I can't visit other people's towns unless they're right next to me. Kind of annoying considering I'm starting to gain popularity in the ACNL Instagram community! So I was dinking around with some wifi settings and I almost messed it up to the point of no return! Now, I'm waiting for the smallest reason to go get the New 3DS XL..buttttt it's $200 and a broke college kid like me just doesn't have that! Not until FAFSA/Scholarship refunds at least! ;)

Then, I filmed a video that requires me to try and sync up the audio. I had some really annoying loud sounds in it from me accidentally rubbing my arm on my leg, so I tried editing it out. WELP. That made the whole rest of the audio all messed up. Sometimes it would even just delete the last half without me realizing until it was too late! So that was annoying. I tried downloading 2 different free video editing softwares..but they were too laggy to be any use to me. Yet another thing I'll have to save up for..

And this last one is COMPLETELY my fault. but my floor has been a complete mess! It's a college syndrome for my room to be messy, it always happens during the semester! But, I'm also forcing myself to not use my desk unless I'm painting on Avery's unicorn painting. I figured it would eventually motivate me to use it, but it's not really working so far! I was doing really well with working on it in the mornings on Tuesdays and Thursdays, but then I started waking up later and later. 8am classes are tough, okay?! And I was spending time with my dad on a few of those, we went golfing! c:

And, kind of putting all of those reasons together..my floor was a mess because I got really into art journaling, but unfortunately I don't think I'll be able to make videos of myself putting together the pages (like I did for the cover) because they take SO LONG! And if I make a video I might not be able to even make a decent video for it! >.< So yeah. I'll probably make my next blog post about art journaling, because it's something I'm REALLY into right now! And it's fun and anyone can do it!

Well, that was just me sort of updating you guys on what's been going on. It still related to art, I'm good! ;D Hope you're all doing well!

Here's that Art Journal Cover painting video I made!

Remember That Deadline? About That...

Yeah...should have known it wasn't going to work! :c I was really determined with this one, too! Poo..

Welp, it would have worked if I didn't go on a spontaneous road trip to Colorado with my dad and Austin! :o Yep, finally had my very first vacation and it was amazing~ Couldn't have asked for a more perfect week to go. Climbed mountains, walked through freezing cold creeks, and even found some gold in those creeks!

We honestly didn't know we were going to Colorado 12 hours before we left, and Austin had even less time to get packed, etc. So the deadline thing didn't really work, but I made great time and improvements on it when I did work on it! I thought this blog would have helped me make sure I got it done in time, but Colorado kinda beat out the painting 10 fold, haha.

I would have pulled an all-nighter if I didn't have school on Monday! x.x 8am classes are going to be hard to get used to now, after a whole semester of 10am starts! So no, the painting won't get done by the deadline, but I have to say I'm proud of myself anyway. Before the road trip to Colorado I was determined more than ever to get it done, and I got 50% more done than what it was before I started this blog!! So that's some sort of improvement, right? It is to me anyway, and I'm proud of my progress in such a short amount of time. Hopefully I can find more time for it during the semester between my TWO history classes, Archaeology, and Life Drawing. I don't go in until 1pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so that'll probably be when that happens.

I'm also going to try and start going for walks/jogs around campus after my classes are over. Probably on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, but we'll see what happens. I just need to make a routine and stick with it!

Wish me luck, readers! (:

Progress!

I'm not dead yet, guys! :D Hooray!

So, I've been keeping to my promise, and I'm making really good progress on this painting for my niece! The day my Psychology class ended I worked for a good 2ish hours on it when I had an intermission trip back home from Austin's (he was doing college stuff so I went home until he was done lol). And almost every day since I've worked at least 2-3 hours on it. I'm really proud of myself so far! Everything is turning out satisfactory for me whenever I paint, so I can't complain.

If I had to give a percentage on how finished I am, I'd probably sayyyy..50-55%! Which is hell of a lot better than I was when my Psychology class ended! So I'm feeling pretty accomplished! The main parts of the background are turning out how I saw them in my head, which is great! And the other parts I worked on today look pretty good, too! I worked for probably 3ish hours today. So altogether I'm to about 20ish hours in! Whew!

But, to make this exciting, I'm not going to show you guys my FULL progress until the end, mwahahaha! So I took some close up "sneak peek" shots to keep you guys updated! (And I've had a hell of a time trying to get them on here! x.x Windows 10 is messing with my system!!!)

I hope you guys had a wonderful weekend, and I hope you have an awesome week! (:

Deadline Set!

Hey guys! Been a few days, but I've finally made a deadline for myself to get my niece's painting done!

AUGUST 21ST

That will be the day that this painting MUST be done by! Now I just have to see if I can do it! Oh my..That means I have about 22 days to finish this painting! x__x I might have several all-nighters in my near future!!

I've already warned Austin that I'll be working on this painting even if he's over chilling at my house lol. We already did that once, so he knows the drill, haha! He watched Netflix on my computer while I painted and tried not to get too distracted! (Doesn't help that his laugh is so darn contagious).

I don't really have a plan on what I should try and get done everyday for this painting, then again I've never really thought about it that way, yet. Usually for my marker or colored pencil drawings I'll have a set goal that I'll try to finish everyday. For example, Monday I'll get the sketch done, Tuesday will be the lineart, Wednesday I'll finish the line weight, Thursday the main focus of the picture will be colored, and Friday will be the background. It usually doesn't go that smoothly, though. Things will usually come up and interfere with when I can actually get work done on it, but you get the jist. I'm going to try and set goals for each day for this painting. But paintings work differently than marker drawings.

Paintings are usually done by layers to keep the "same stage of completion" at..well...the same stage. So it's harder to have steps for paintings because usually you would work at a layer at a time. So I guess I could just say 1 layer a day and hope it's not more than 22 layers of paint! That would be crazyyyy! But because my canvas is so big, that might be a good goal for each day. Then once all the main stuff (modeling/shading, highlights, etc.) is finished, and I still have time before the deadline, I can work on the details and have goals for each day like I would on my paper pieces.

So, that's my plan for my next 3 weeks! And only about 2 of those weeks I have completely off everything! No school, no work, no nothin'! Now, let's see if I can get anything fun worked in there around this painting schedule!

Wish me luck, I'll keep you posted! (:

So My Plan Is...

So this is the painting I'm working on for my niece! It's 2x3 feet and it's kicking my butt. I've had the canvas for almost 3, maybe even 4, months now. And I'm only starting on the 3rd layer of paint. Yeahhh..this thing will be in its ugly stage for a loooooong time.

Pretty much, she wanted a painting of a unicorn with wings (Pegacorn? Unisus? Whatever it's called..) and I thought "Okay that'll be fun for me to do since I love fantasy AND I'll be getting paid for it!" No...this thing has been staring me in the face, unfinished, for almost 4 months now. I don't know what's wrong with me! If this were for me, I'd probably have it finished by now. And I didn't really get why I was feeling so unmotivated until I actually learned why in my Psychology 101 class I'm taking right now! (Pretty much, our brain sees getting paid for something as work. So when we're getting paid for something we enjoy, our brain sees it as work, so it's less motivated. Or something along those lines.) So after thinking about that and letting it sink in for a few days, I realized that was my problem. And I also think if my sister would have given me a deadline I would be busting my ass trying to get it done, but she said no rush on it.

I'll be honest, there have been times when I thought about texting my sister and telling her to forget it. Especially after getting insulted because I'm in art major and being belittled because of it, but I've tried truckin' on through it. Does it have a lot of paint? No. Is it anywhere finished? Not at all. But I'm still working on getting it done. My niece is also very into art (because of ME mwahahaha!) and when she saw the painting as it is last night, she got so excited and she thinks it's almost done. So I'm trying to use that to motivate me to work on this more! My Psychology 101 class will be over after this Friday! Yipee!

So here's my plan...I only have 3 weeks of completely free summer break before the fall semester starts (eww), so I'm going to work on this painting inbetween everything that might be going on. My boyfriend, Austin, and I have a summer bucket list we'd like to get done, and we already have something planned for next Sunday. So I'll be working on this painting most of the time before we leave, and probably the night after when I get home. I sense lots of all-nighters in my future!

So here are some little facts about this piece so far:
I've already put close to 15 hours into this, and there's a ton more to go. That's the first horse I've ever drawn a full body of, and I'm pretty proud of it, so far! I've never done a painting with a foreground, so we'll see how that goes. And that pink mushroom on the right was actually a happy accident of the first wash of colors running!

There's also a lot of symbolism in this piece:
The little houses on the left are actually "spirit houses." They're believed to protect the forest and anyone who encounter them. I put those in there because they'd look so cool in a fantasy painting, but also for the symbolism of protection. The stacked rocks are usually made by hikers so they can find their way back. I placed these here so she'll never lose her way. And I plan to put some sort of fog/mist in front of, and around, the winged unicorn that has little sparkles in it. Those sparkles are going to represent wishes and angels watching over her. I know butterflies usually have some sort of meaning, but I put those in because she REALLY likes butterflies, haha!

I'm going to have a YouTube video on my channel whenever this gets done with little clips of my progress throughout this painting, so I'll definitely link that when it's finished! (:

First Blog Post!!

Hi everyone who may read this in the future!

Finally jumped on the bandwagon and started a blog. Honestly, I've thought about making one. I used to do daily vlogs about my struggles through college and the ups and downs of trying to become an artist at a professional level, and it was really fun! The only problem was I usually couldn't get very good footage because a lot of my friends didn't like the camera. And I was hardly doing any ART related things so they sort of felt pointless after a while. But, with this blog I'll be able to share and not worry about a schedule or editing! :D Hooray!

I'm not sure what kind of stuff I'll post here. I have two YouTube artsy channels. One is my main art channel that's full of "speedpaints" and some informative videos. I'm trying to convert it to be solely art related, so if you check that channel out, bare with me! My old vlogging channel is still up and running! I just don't do daily vlogs anymore. Whenever an art event comes around, or if I'm having an art day with some artist friends, I'll vlog throughout the day and then edit and upload that because it's art related and that's what most artists want to watch, right? I'll leave my two channels here:
Main Art Channel --> BlueDragon2196
Artsy Vlog Channel --> Haley Bop
Just look them up on YouTube and they should pop up! If not, I'll try and find a way to get them on this blog! I also started out on deviantART several years ago, but my fanbase is pretty much full of ghosts now and I never get any feedback or commissions. So it's just a place to post my digital artwork to now. Oh well.

Enough about that! I guess I should introduce myself! (Taking me long enough right?)
I'm Haley! I'm a 19 year old college student, about to go into my second year at my local community college, and I'm going for my AFA (Associates in Fine Arts) here. Then, I'm hoping to transfer to a university and go for my BFA (Bachelor's in Fine Arts) and I'm not really sure where I'm going for that yet. Depends on how things play out. I've been drawing since I was about 2, so art has been a major part of my life for my whole life! I'm excited to see how I can make something I love to do a career, but I'm also nervous. There are a lot of art jobs out there, but I'm aiming to become an illustrator! I've always been told that my style looks like something from a children's book, and I never really believed people until I realized concept art wasn't really my thing, like I thought it was.

I'm also a complete nerd and a gamer. I'm currently addicted to The Office that I'm watching with my best friend. But I also love Star Trek, BBC Sherlock, Supernatural, Marvel, ASMR, Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Animal Crossing, DISNEY/Pixar, Warriors, and a bunch of others I'm probably forgetting! I love to read, as well (whenever I have the time!). Also getting back into golf, I'm pretty sore after 2 days at the driving range. I don't know how those pros do it for weeks straight! x__x Also getting into art journaling, so I may share some of that here in the future!

Anyways, I think that's enough about me for now. I assume you'll learn more about me in upcoming posts. I don't think I'll have a schedule. I'll just post whenever something is on my mind or something relevant happens, haha!
Now to try and figure out how this site works!
