Zodiac Watercolor Series!

Hello again!

This week I'm beginning a Zodiac watercolor series! There's also some Copic thrown in there too, but it's mainly watercolor! Thankfully there are some weeks in between the zodiac birthdays, so I don't have to be doing these back to back..at least until I get behind, haha! ;) Hopefully not..

My goal for these pieces is to show what each zodiac is all about! For example, the first piece in my series is Aries. Everything in this piece is associated with Aries in some way. The ram is the animal of this Zodiac, Mars is the planet it's associated with, Mars is the God of War so I made the woman into a fashionable warrior/gladiator (I guess...I mainly looked up woman warrior or gladiator and got a bunch of Halloween costumes), the mountains go with the ram, and the constellation is Aries in the sky.

I hope to continue each piece like this, and I can't wait to see how my style looks by the end of this series!

Twisty Tree Series | Boredom

Here's the second installment for my Twisty Tree series! The commentary is a little wonky because I made it so ahead of time, and I was doing bi-weekly videos at the time. So it's a wee bit behind!

SPEEDPAINT | "Twisty Tree" Series - Boredom

This was the start of my technique with using themes to help with the content of my pieces. I wanted to emulate the feeling of boredom through this piece. The tree is leaning against another, the butterfly is resting on the tree, unmoving. I'm really happy with how this turned out, overall. Especially the butterfly and the mushrooms. My cute little mushrooms <3

2016 WORKSPACE TOUR

I'm finally able to post this! I was so excited to get the desk I've been looking at for years now! My parents and I went half and half on it, and I'm so glad that I got a new chair as well. The chair makes all the difference, let me tell ya! I can sit in this chair for hours on end and never get uncomfortable, compared to my last one where I felt like the main post was going up my butt! Hahaha!

In this video, I show you around my very small and pretty cluttered workspace, but it's a lot cleaner than it was, I assure you! Hopefully this will be my main workspace for years to come (:

Fairy In The Garden

I'm able to upload earlier today because my 9am class was cancelled, so I was able to come home and get some work done before my next class at 1pm. Long breaks through the day are nice! And today is the first day I've felt completely normal after this last week of nausea and grossness. So a nice happy and colorful picture is perfect, and I've been waiting to upload this video for SO LONG..you have no idea.

I'm VERY happy with how this turned out, and if I was able to sell prints I would definitely sell prints of this one. That's another topic for a later blog post, though. I have a lot of thoughts about opening an online store. There are a lot of updates I could make, but two will be in the next blog post HOPEFULLY if I remember ^^;

Yes, I totally realize this is a day late! I got busy yesterday and didn't get home until late and then still had to finish some notes for my class the next day. Ooooops...
